This M&E Framework was prepared for the “Global Programme to Prevent Son Preference and the Undervaluing of Girls” carried out by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and funded by the European Union (EU). The main aim of this document is to provide a Global Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to assess gender-biased sex selection and related policies. The framework is intended primarily for international and national actors who seek to monitor and evaluate programmes on gender-biased sex selection and son preference.
