On July 8, Biblusi Gallery hosted a workshop inspired by a contemporary children's book “Luna and the Planet of Fireflies”. The workshop was held as part of the “Men Care” campaign and the collaboration between the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Georgia Country Office and the organization “We Care”.
The event was led by the authors of the book: writer Dato Gorgiladze and illustrator Tatia Nadareishvili.
UNFPA's Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Alanna Armitage, UNFPA Representative in Turkey/Country Director of UNFPA Georgia Hassan Mohtashami and Head of UNFPA Georgia Country Office Lela Bakradze have joined the workshop.
"Luna and the Planet of Fireflies" tells the story of a family, where both parents share childcare and household responsibilities, and as a result, magic unfolds all around them.
The children's book published by “Palitra L” was prepared as part of the “Men Care” campaign on the initiative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Georgia Country Office, with the support of the European Union within the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence" programme, funded by the European Union, implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
