The program is based on the needs identified as a result of a 2019 study “Situation of Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Psychiatric and Public Care Institutions” carried out by the Public Defender with the UNFPA support. The program was developed under two UN joint programmes: for Gender Equality, implemented with the financial support of the Swedish Government, and Transforming Social Protection for Persons with Disabilities in Georgia, implemented with the support of the SDG Fund.
