Marking International Youth Day in Batumi, Georgia

On August 12, 2013 UNFPA/Georgia in partnership with the  Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Employment Agency of Adjara and Caucasus Social Market Association (CSMA) organized series of activities in Batumi to mark  International Youth Day 2013 “Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward”.

The Employment Agency of Adjara hosted the workshop “Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward” for youth covering the topics such as: youth on job searching applications, employment opportunities for youth, information to prevent STIs/HIV, migration, trafficking  etc.The workshop was opened by the Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Mr. Rati Bregadze, Deputy Director of Employment Agency of  Adjara  Ms. Mariam Bezarashvili, Director of NCDC Adjara  Ms. Maro Chkhaidze, UNFPA Georgia Assistant Representative Ms. Tamar Khomasuridze and  Director of CSMA Mr. Irakli Khvedelidze. UNFPA/Georgia CO and IOM Georgia developed the information materials that have been distributed during the workshop  and  outdoor activities.
