The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has long advocated for adolescents' access to age-appropriate health and personal safety information.
On June 25, UNFPA Georgia Country Office joined forces with the East European University by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by Head of UNFPA Georgia CO, Mariam Bandzeladze, and Rector of the East European University, Kakhaber Lazarashvili.
Through this MoU, the UNFPA and the East European University will cooperate on integrating Health and Personal Safety Education Module (Course) into the relevant higher education programs including but not limited to 60 ECT teacher preparation programs, a 5-year integrated teacher education program, an MA program on Education Management/Sciences, etc. as a mandatory or elective course.
