On December 21, an "Equality Corner" opened in the historic village of Didi Toneti in Tetritskaro Municipality upon the joint initiative of the UN RC and the UNFPA Georgia Country Office. More than 200 books on gender equality, empowerment of women and girls, tolerance and human rights have been added to the local library.

The 21st "Equality Corner" in Georgia was opened by UN RC Sabine Machl, represnetatives of UNFPA Georgia CO and writer Nestan (Nene) Kvinikadze, who spoke with the adolescents about gender equality, importance of equal access for girls and boys and the power of literature. 

Teacher of civic education and histort, Datia Badalashvili has hosted the guests at the library.

UNFPA Georgia Country Office has been opening "Equality Corners" in various regions of Georgia together with its partners since 2018.
