The UNFPA Georgia Country Office, in cooperation with international partners, developed a compendium which served as a basis for developing a workshop on Family-Friendly Workplaces: Policies and Practices.

The workshop held in Tsinandali, Kakheti region on December 6-8 has featured  the best practices from a variety of countries, including the Eastern Europe, where caring fatherhood and paternity leave are being promoted in the public and private sectors.

Promoting gender equality and women's empowerment is one of the areas of cooperation led by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). In this regard, it is especially important to increase the support of men and to promote their involvement in the process of achieving gender equality.

The workshop was conducted within the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence" programme, funded by the European Union, implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
