UNFPA Georgia launched 5 day TOT Training on peer education within the frameworks of the UN Joint Program to Enhance Gender Equality in Georgia on October 22, 2012. As the initiator of the peer education network in Georgia, UNFPA strives for raising awareness of the young generation on sensitive social topics, such as, gender equality, gender based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV/AIDS, etc.
The training participants were selected based on the open call by the Georgian Youth Development and Education Association (GYDEA) and NGO Tanadgoma. TOT Training will last for 5 days. Attendees will acquire relevant knowledge and skills to become the future trainers and educate their peers on the above mentioned issues.
