On February 19-20, 2015 UNFPA, UNDP and UN Women organized a sensitive reporting training for Georgian journalists in Tbilisi. Journalists from local and national media gathered at Tbilisi Marriott hotel to talk about gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, domestic violence and other issues.

The trainer, Hannah Storm, a journalist with 15 years of experience with BBC, Reuters, The Times, etc. discussed the importance of sensitivity when covering gender-related matters, gave examples from Georgia and abroad.

During these two days, participants had a chance to talk to experts, share their thoughts and expertise on these issues, and discuss new media and new opportunities.

The event was organized within the framework of UN Joint Programme “To Enhance Gender Equality in Georgia” through a generous support from the Swedish Government.
