The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Palira L Publishing strengthen their ties to promote innovative approaches that challenge gender stereotypes and enhance awareness on gender equality, girls’ empowerment and digital safety among adolescents, youth, and parents.

To ensure this, on January 28, UNFPA and Paliyta L Publishing renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The renewed MoU was signed by Head of UNFPA Georgia Country Office Mariam Bandzeladze and Director of Palityra L Publishing Tinatin Asatiani.

The MoU aims to increase the contribution of the private sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals related to adolescents, young people and gender equality.

Within the cooperation, the parties agree to support gender equality and social norm transformation through an age-appropriate comic book and a board game, created within their partnership, as well as through new joint initiatives.

The UNFPA and Palitra L Publishing first signed the MoU on June 30, 2022, however Palitra L Publishing has been supporting UNFPA-led initiatives since 2017.

Bedtime stories "Lullaby for Lilly” (Author: Alexandre Lortkipanidze, illustrator: Sopho Kirtadze, 2017) and “Luna and the Planet of Fireflies” (Author: Dato Gorgiladze, illustrator: Tatia Nadareishvili, 2020), a comic book “Invisible” (Authors: Tatia Nadareishvili, Martha Urushadze, Mikheil Tsikhelashvili, 2022) and a board game “Person” (BG Era Games, 2023) have been launched within the partnership of the UNFPA Georgia Country Office and Palitra L Publishing, and the support of the European Union.
